Second year of preschool and increased social awareness

Violet is nearly 5 and she's headed into her second year of preschool and I can definitely see soo much growth in all areas including social awareness. This evening she was telling me that she's nervous about heading back to school and it wasn't just generalized nervousness as a result of heading into a new year with new people. She was able to articulate that she's specifically nervous about the other girls and said to me "It's funny how I'm a girl and I don't fit in with the other girls. I fit in more with the boys."

It's great that she's able to tell you how she's feeling. I hope school will be fine for her
