septembryos baby area (09 babies)

well thats always the way :) lol i didnt suffer with any of that. having constant headaches tho so trying to drink plenty make sure im hydrated enough, although makes me need a wee constantly :) ohh the joys of pregnancy :)

just a quick catch up before i get myself and the girls ready to go out.

siyren- i kept my belly bar in with both my girls but i switched to a longer bar once my belly button popped out you can also bouy retainers (plastic ones) which are comfier. i'm hoping this time round i wont need to take it out. it bloody hurt getting it done when i was 14 no way am i going to take the bugger out now!

marg- sorry you felt you was being ignored hun you know we loves you really. i can't reall relate to you as i still have the nausea but on good days the only way i know i'm pg is when baby is moving.

charlie- my due date is the 13th and i'm 16+5 so you would be about 16+1 going by your due date but like firegal says going by your lmp you'd be further on. bloody midwifes eh as if we arent confused enough in pregnancy!

firegal- how generoud of your mum to offer to buy a cotbed bless her. hope visiting the inlaws goes well. i can understand where your coming from with the positivity thing. my fil and his wife are lovely and always look on the bright side of things and were overjoyed to here we were expecting again especially after our losses last year. mil and her hubby on the other hand are selfish and df put off telling them as he knew that his mum would think about how she wont see her precious son ir grandchildren as much since they live in france. feck em i say. as long as me and df are happy who gives a damn what anyone else thinks.

right i have some moaning and questions to ask before i go.

firstly questions. me and df finally did the deed 2 nights ago poor thing hasnt had any since we concieved this baba and for a change i felt in the mood. but it really made me sore and had to stop. felt so bad for df all this time waiting then he didnt get to finish lol. anyone else found it painful? also another question and this one is a wayyyyyy tmi one so look away now if you are squeamish lol. anyways when pg with my youngest towards the end i apparantly had a varicose vein down there and it appears i now have got one again and i think thats why i was so sore. anyone else with this problem (oh the embarassment!).

now my moaning. horrible dreams! anyone having horrid dreams about their baby. i havent really had any since i hit 12 weeks and stopped worrying i was going to lose the baby. but last night i had my most horrid and vivid one yet.

i dreamt i went for a scan to be told my baby has no heartbeat and they wanted to give me pills to start me off in labour. i refused saying i needed more time and so went home. later on i felt the baby move and both me and df sawe its little hand stick out against my skin. so we went back to hospital and told them the baby was alive and had been moving. they refused to belive me and put the movement down to a hernia and my muscles moving around. they dismissed me when i told them about seeing its hand against my skin. they then refused to let me go and wanted to admit me to give birth then i woke up.

it was sooooo horrible. i went straight back to sleep so i didnt have to think about it but when i woke up properly it all came flooding back and its put me in a sad mood.

though i know baby is ok of course as its just moved in my tummy but you cant help but wonder can you.

anyways thats my essay for this morning. got to go dd got herself stuck in her walker lol. be on later tonight as taking the girls out with my mum and cousin. x

Oh hun, those are horrid dreams! Damn pregnancy hormones..... hope you stop getting them soon! I haven't been having horrible dreams, just weird and vivid ones. I had one the other night where I was dreaming I had a pet baby chimp, orangutan and gorilla and I was just panicking the whole time as I didn't know what to feed them! I kept giving them bananas, salad, bread, cereal.... but all I was doing was worrying that they weren't getting the right nutrition. Definitely a baby anxiety dream I think! Luckily it was so silly that it wasn't upsetting or anything

there was a thread on here a few days ago with a lady with the same varicose vein so that cud be y it hurt, sorry to ask but was there any bleeding?? iv been having really weird dreams but no about baby, just about chopped off heads on sticks.

syiren -i no a few ladys that changed there belly bar to a plastic one. said there loads better and comfy.

Double means tests for 2 abnormalities(downs, spine abifina)

Triple is for 3 abnormalities,(downs, spine abifida and summin else lol)

Hmmm, that's not what I thought. Double test checks your HCG and PPFA hormone levels, and the triple test tests HCG and two other hormone levels. So one checks 2 hormones and the other checks 3. The double test can be done earlier than the triple test. As far as I know both check for the same abnormalities though, ie Downs, Turners & Edwards syndromes.

I could well be wrong of course :)

hey im not sure lol...thats what the mw told me when i asked her...and she said i could get either till after 15weeks to test for these abnormalities...we get these as we dont get a free nuchal, if the test is a high chance then we get scan....cheapskates lol at ur 12 week scan u get ur hcg and ppfa checked with scan but that aint the same as double or triple...hope that helps...think its jus toooo confusin lol

Ohhhhhhh.... well that's clear.... not!!!! There's just too many tests I say!

:)

Hey btw lol...

how are we all 2day, its a bit foggy here, but looks like its gonna break and hopefully be another sunny day, YAY!!!

im jus back from my antenatel appt where i had my double test, weight, urine and blood pressure checked...ill get the blood results back in 2weeks...talk about keeping me waitin haha OMG im officially bloodless, they took 3 attemps to get blood from me haha, luckily im not afraid huh

ive actually lost 8lbs!!!!!!!! wtf where from??! lol not that im complaining right enough :yipee: and finally found out what blood group i am....AB+ same as my mum, was worried as my unlce is AB- really rare lol

i got all my notes away with me and was quite an interestin read and also i found it had 6 OTHER scan pics of bubba, its leg, foot head, must be for there measurements so that was a nice surprise to see hehe :cloud9:

hey girls,
lol ive been in bed reading most of the day, so now actually need to make a move lol.
gah im being slowly gassed by my 11 month old puppy. which is not nice.
i really can't wait to feel my baby move, aside from tirdness i dont really feel pregnant, although my stomah is a tad bigger than it used to be. (used to be flat lmao)
glad i heard the bubs heartbeat on wed though, it makes it a bit real. which i like.

i have to say all these tests are just a bit confusing!

Hi gals
Charlie Brown - we're due the same day and I'm def 17+2. To figure out how far gone you are the most accurate way to go is a confirmed due date, so you're the same as I am (I think babytots added the wrong way btw!!! I think she def meant 17+2)

Firegal, sorry they're not positive. My in laws are positive, but drive me round the bend. They're always telling me what I should be avoiding and when I do stuff, they say, is that safe? Of course it is otherwise I wouldn't be doing it!! What do they want me to say, oh now that you mention it, you're right, this is really harmful to my baby but I was going to do it anyway..!!!!!!!
I just try to ignore what they say - they don't know any different, it's just the way they are and I need to let them be them and let it go in one ear and out the other. I know it's a buit different to being negative, but I think you can apply the same thing.
I read in one book, these things are about the people who say/do them and NOT about you. Everyone has their own issues and someone else's pregnancy seems to bring it out of the woodwork. If they need to say stuff then fine, but there is no need for you to take it in!

Good luck
xx

Thanks 10thSept! You're totally right. If they're negative this weekend I'll just be polite but tune them out so that it doesn't affect me. Family can be hard work hey???

:)

Hey ladies :hugs:

How are we all today?? It's a beautiful sunny day in London and I can't be arsed to do any work - a usual Friday afternoon for me

Firegal - we went out to see my in-laws in NZ when I was only 9 weeks, and boy did they have alot of opinions!! If anything, they were going totally overboard on the 'what I couldn't eat' stuff to the point where I mostly existed on fruit. Plus, their personal views of midwife-led services were none too positive, to the point where I found myself sticking up for the NHS!!! My view was, and still is, to listen to them, but do what I want how I want. It's the only way to survive! (oh, and I do get on really well with them for the most part - I think things like this bring out different sides of people :muaha:)

On a different note... I was completely decadent yesterday afternoon... took a last minute half day and spent the afternoon being massaged and shopping :happydance: Cleared my headaches up a treat

Ooooh, massages and shopping..... that does sound appealing right now!! :)

So I've finally got round to joining (I'm joining the August club as well). So hello to everyone
