I know its going to vary a lot because every baby is a different size and weight but in general how have you found clothing sizing? I find that

Next - spot on size wise, LO was in 0-3 til just over 3 months etc. BUT they are always too short in the leg!! Sleepsuits fit fine but legs too short, same with a pair of Next jeans he has.

George - I find these run bigger, LO is nearly 4 months and the 3-6 stuff looks as though it'd drown him - 0-3 stuff George stuff is still fitting him, only now getting a bit tight..

Tesco - Just right to a bit big. At 2 months LO could still fit in Tesco newborn clothes, and his ''tiny baby'' outfit was too big at birth (he was 6 lbs 6) rompers fit perfectly, everything else lasts about a month longer than it says on the tag.

Marks+Spencers - Just right to maybe a bit small. At just short of 3 months, 3-6 stuff was fitting him lovely. The dungarees and t-shirts fit perfectly now at almost 3 months but I find their vests run a bit small. None of his M+S stuff is gonna fit him when he's 6 months!!

Again, I know theres huge variation between babies sizes but this is how I've found these shops' clothes on the whole - how about you?
xx

I've found george at asda large too! LO is out of 0-3 in everything by miles except for the 0-3 tshirts by george, same with the bottoms except for the length! Oh but one bad thing i find the long sleeved stuff too short in the arm. Mabye i just have a baby with long arms and legs lol.

And i agree with you on Next too but don't really shop in the others. I know is Primark (suprisingly) comes up tiiiiny! The newborn stuff is the right size i guess but now he is in 3-6 everywhere else, i buy 6-9 or even 9-12 out of there!!!

i find the Next stuff to be huge and lasts for ages! my son is 2 and he's still in 18-24 month stuff from there. And he's a big boy! THe stuff from George is also really big. Everything else we have seems to fit normally.
The stuff from Old Navy in the US seems to run small though

M&P, Zara & Obaibi - slim cuts & small sizes. Mothercare, M&S & the White company - Larger sizes .

ETA: Omar is already in 12 or 18 mnths outfits, he's not meaty but broad & long.

Matalan are usually spot on but as above george quite big xx

Next - quite big but not huge

Tesco - small and slim but good for amelie

Asda - huge

Matalan - huge

Sainsburys - quite big

M&S - mega huge

Mamas and Papas - just right for amelie, perfect for small and slim babies :)

John Lewis - quite big

Minimode (boots) - same as m&p

primark - varies

Zara - slim and petite tops but really long trousers and jeans

Amelie has just this week went into 12-18 jeans from next and m&s, her other things shes been in 12-18 for a month or so but 9-12. Shes 19 months now and about 22lbs. Oh and all her socks are 0-2.5 but she has tiny feet so idk.

I find mothercare the best fit, nice and long in length, the sleepsuits and vests are fab too.

Next is usually on the large size although the leggings are nearly always short!

Mamas and Papas - really skinny sizes!

So true. I got Omar a 3-6 baby grow when he was 2.5 mnths old. After washing it, his arms couldnt go into the sleeves :haha:

yeh, we like m&p cos amelie is a skinny minnie!

mothercare i find huge

I've found Mothercare, George, Next and Sainsbury's to be really roomy.

Matalan are ok width but not very long.

Debenhams - Very small.

Sainsburys - massive (except socks)
Tesco - tiny
George - mid
Next - mid
Debenhams - ridiculously tiny (1yr old in 2-3 yrs???)
Only tried primark socks - they were massive!

H&M - Big (Ruby is 15 months and still fits their 9-12 tops no problem)

M&S - fit Ruby very well, I wish there was more choice in my local M&S

Mini mode - sleepsuits are weird and random, such as 3-6 sleepsuits being too small for Ruby at 3 months, but other stuff is nice.

Sainsbury's - fit Ruby well

Asda - fit Ruby well, 90% of her clothes are from here.

Gap - TINY, 12-18 jeans were too narrow for Ruby at 10 months. However, when we have bought stuff from there that is meant to be boys', the fit has been fine.

John Lewis - fit well

George-massive
tesco-small
gap-tiny
pumpkin patch-mega small
mini boden - just right
m&s just right
primark - small
minimode - varies some stuff huge other stuff tiny
sainsbury- just right
john lewis - small

my wee man is just below 50th percentile so is average size x

anyone an idea 'bout H&M?

I LOVE h&m clothes i dont know why i didn't write it. Its pretty roomy and has the inbetween sizes as someone above said. I find that the sizes are pretty spot on, actually, probably a bit big. LO is 5 months today and he still fits in the 2-4 vests and stuff and the 4-6 stuff is still a little roomy for him and hes a big boy!

Asda - really big the 0-3 says up to 12lbs odd and my LO is waaay past that
Sainsburys - Long but not as wide as asda ones
Matalan - Fits nicely the sleepsuits are long and wide
Primark - TINY 0-3 stopped fitting at 2 month
Pumpkin patch - also tiny, very slim fitting, obviously not made for my chubby boy
Next - Spot on, i have alot of things from here and they all fit about right, 0-3 just starting to get small now
M&S - These are also a good fit, alothough i find there a bit along (my LO has very short legs)

boots - riduculously small!
Next - ok ish
Asda - good sizes and long legs which are perfect!
M&S - good, long legs
tesco, v small especially sleepsuits
matalan - v good sizes and wash well
Primark - waaaay too small!

yeh, we like m&p cos amelie is a skinny minnie!

mothercare i find huge

Must be Lola then! She's not BIG but shes definately not small IYKWIM? She's just really long and mothercare always seems to fit her just right length wise.

I wish M&P were a better fit for her cos i love their stuff :growlmad:
