I changed Leo's milk to Nutramigen on sunday. He had 4 feeds with it on sunday and seemed ok on it, yesterday he was restless and cried alot and spit up a bit which is fairly normal for him and today hes cried with every feed, threw up every feed, arched and screamed! A total nightmare......is this a sign this milk doesnt suit him?

I know you should give a new milk a few weeks but arent symptoms supposed to stay the same then improve, not get worse?

I dunno what to do now:dohh:

Anyone help me please?

Katie went thru quite a lot of different brands and i was adivised to give it at least 72 hrs ...hope he settles soon xxx

Had to phone the docs in the end and he advised me to put infant gaviscon in his feeds for tonight and get some sma staydown tomorrow......poor childs been on so many different milks....

Hes been better on the two feeds with gaviscon, and not threw up so its a start,

Thanks for your advice hun x

Stay on the same one. You may be making him worse by changing through so many formulas in such a short time. You can buy thickener in the UK I believe which does the same as SMA staydown.

Ollie is on Nutramigen and it was 2 weeks before I saw an improvement. I could have cried and was so tempted to take him off it. He hardly had any of it and would have screaming fits....but....after 2 weeks he improved and is absolutely fine on it now x

I'm not really sure what to tell you..switching around lots will cause an upset tummy which leads to a very cranky baby. I just hope you guys find one that works for him! It sounds like things have been a bit stressfull with the little guy, so lets hope you find a brand that works :hugs:
