tinkerbell, from what i have read of your mc, i think it really could be a blood clotting problem. with the slow heartbeat and growing slowly, that is totally what happens. basically, clots form in the veins that feed the placenta so the blood supply is slowly cut off. my RE said the clots are so tiny (size of a pin prick) that you would never be able to tell they are there on an ultrasound.
it is too bad you can't get in to see a specialist that can run some tests on you.
thank you so much for the information, you are the second person who as said that they think its to do with the blood supply. its nice to have some answers even if there not from the doctor, at least i can try and do something rather than nothing. with my first two i did think it was just 'bad luck', but this time i just know something was causing it, as he was their with his little heartbeat in all 3 scans but just not growing. he was such a little fighter though, even when i stated haemorrhaging and the hospital thought id passed him due to the large clots, i knew i hadnt and when they scanned me, there he was. it breaks my heart cos he tried so hard to cling on and i feel like my body let him down...x
