Thanks everyone. Mum is ok-ish. She obviously can't do much for the next 6 weeks which means rather than my twat of a dad pull his finger out, my mum's friends are coming round to do the housework and cook for her. he had taken some time off work to look after her and spent the morning of the first day in the hot-tub. I wonder if they will get through this as she's starting to get very resentful (quite right too).

She's not coping well on the meds either, a lot of bad reactions so that doesnt help either.

I'm hoping to go down soon with the baby to cheer her up but that all depends on if work will approve my remaining annual leave before I finish there.
