Since I haven't had any luck with pregnancy tests during my POAS addiction....PICS p5

Well as the title says I wasn't having much luck with pregnancy tests so decided to focus on ovulation strips! I was SO excited just now as I got the darkest line I have ever got on an opk! I have only been testing since 28th last month, so basically just POAS to see what changes happen and when... I know it isn't positive yet but wanted to share my excitement! I have had a dull ache like period pain for just over a week now and today I am having a sharper pain on right side... started checking CP this week too... seems much higher and more open today... Been BD'ing pretty much every night anyway... was meant to be doing it every other day but cant help myself lol! Also been noticing lots of EWCM for about 4 days now


So how long until you think I ovulate?! Has anyone experienced the opks just getting to a certain darkness and stopping? PS I was starting to think that damned line would NEVER get darker!!! the faint one is from this morning (I seem to get darker opks in the morning...weird I know)

Since you always have LH in your system its hard to tell when since you dont know if its mor diluted and what your normal LH really is. But hopefully soon! GL

thanks, I have been testing 2-3 times a day since 28th July and I haven't ever got such a dark one, even when it is v diluted I still always get a line, I think there is quite a jump from the top test (this morning) to the bottom one though? xxx

that is quite a jump in progression. Ur are def always light. Uve barely got anything on the other ones. Just start bd and keep testing. If it fades away then you know that was ur line. Or itll get darker. But are you holding your pee for at least a few hours b4 testing? I wake up and pee then hold it till anywhere from 10-noon depending what time I woke up. and then I test and Ive always seen mine

Yup I try to hold it, I wont test unless its a certain concentration in darkness either. I know, the lines are SO light on all the others! Hence my excitement! I did another one 1 at 7pm and the line seems darker again Typical as husband saying he feels "depleated" and can we just do it tomorrow...I think not!!! xxxx

First two are within the developing 10 minutes, the bottom one is just after and next to the 5pm test from tonight, do you think it is getting darker? The 5pm one has faded a fair bit

thats almost postive. wouldnt doubt if tm itll be stronger. either way bd tm would be ok. even if this was ur positive u prob wouldnt ovulate till tm at least. obviously doing it more is good but if hes only good for one more round id wait till tm

oooh...I think I will just try and jump him tonight and tomorrow... I cant jump him in the morning though because of work...ahhhh damn it!!! don't know what to do! And we are driving down to england tomorrow straight after work and wont get there til 10pm ish nooo!!!! I need to calm down lol!!! x

I've attached a pic of my tests over the last 3 days.. I think my top one is similiar to how you're most recent one is.. So it shouldn't be long.. Oh, and try AM .. It got 3 of my BnB friends their 's recently..

Also, you shouldn't be using OPK's in the morning (not sure if you are)..

I'm just doing them anytime, I'm not sure I quite understand why with the morning thing though, I thought it just didn't show in the morning? The dark ones are from this evening anyhow x

It's pretty backwards.. your supposed to take HPTs with FMU & not with OPKs.. I found this link: https://www.peeonastick.com/opkfaq.html#10

And it had this to say about not taking them in the AM..

10. Should I use first morning urine (FMU) with OPK's? No. LH is synthesized early in the day, and is not metabolized into your urine until later. So, as a rule, you are more likely to catch your surge later in the day. ("They" say you should test sometime around 2-4 p.m., but I've had fine luck at 10 p.m.-midnight.) Using FMU may not be a problem for you, but if you do not detect a surge during the cycle you use FMU, try testing later during the next cycle.

Note: the Clearblue Fertility Monitor is the exception. The FM Monitor does require FMU.

ETA: Of course, I'm a POASaholic & test 3-4x/day with these OPKs.. Just glad to finally see my positive after waiting 2+weeks

This month I tested about noon and it was there (it was my last one) checked the maila round 3 and my ICs were there. So i tested again it was still there and by night it was gone. just my personal experience

i think yours is the perfect example of why women should test multiple times a day.. My surges usually last about 2 days, but if you got a surge that lasts just a matter of a few hours, it's deff worth it to just test multiple times, to make sure you don't miss it..!

Thanks for sharing ladies! I will def be testing as I have been but will balance out the morning test with the other ones if it seems odd. I think though once you start to get the surge you should just keep testing? Cant see what harm it'll do really, I'm going to have sex once a day anyhow just to be sure xxxx
