Hi

I have not slept with clothes on since forever, unless I Amin hospital. And I am struggeling to sleep with a bra on and can't take it off because of leaking nipples.

Any suggestions I gave used a vest but it's soaked after 2 hours.

This may be a weird suggestion, but I actually taped nursing pads to my breast during the night.:haha: I used surgical tape. It worked for me and was much more comfortable than sleeping in a bra.

I ended up investing in a really good quality nursing sleep bra. It's so comfortable it doesn't bother me at all to sleep in and I never thought I'd ever say that about wearing a bra to bed.

I just got one of mika's extra crib sized mattress pads and slept with it under me. Kind of icky but it saved my sheets and kept me from having to wear clothes!

i put extra blankets under me although OH did wake up with a wet shirt lol

I bought a couple sleeping nursing bras and they're extremely comfortable

I wore Lilypadz which were great to start with. By the time they had worn out, I'd stopped leaking.

mothercare do a pack of two sleeping nursing bras, they are so comfy as are literally t shirt material. I wear one with breast pads to bed, was fed up of milk marks on my sheets lol. can use them after birth too and would be great while in hospital x

Problem with the bra is I move about a lot in my sleep so the get in the way plus I get ecxema (however you spell it) and I have it quite bad at the shoulders where any strap is and it makes the rash worse.

Will try taping and see how I get on

i did this too!! i doubled up on the pads also!

I got a couple of samples of the johnsons and johnsons ones and i though they might suit the surgical tape better thank the lansinoh breast pads i am using :)

The bras I posted are like t shirt material, not bra straps so may be soft enough on your shoulders. xx

I used to sleep with a big soft towel on the bed under me, worked great :)

Funny enough I have slept tonight in a old t-shirt and after 3 feeds only got a leak one breast after the 3rd bottle not a good sign as there normaly going before baby wakes and they don't feel so heavy...

How old is your baby? After a while your flow will probably regulate.
you'll still have enough milk, but you won't feel engorged or leak everywhere! I haven't worn pads since Alice was about 2 months old.

I was too milky for lilypadz, but maybe try them, they are cheaper on ebay. I wore a bra but I was happy when I wean in the daytime at 9 months and I didn't have to wear one anymore!!

I tried sleeping in a soft nursing bra at first but gave it up - then I tried sleeping on a soft towel with a muslin cloth over me to protect the quilt. That really worked well for me. You can fold it over a few times and have it as a sort of bandeau. You can then chuck the muslin on the floor and replace it as the night goes on. I couldn't get on with the lilypadz, they leaked every time.
