Sleeplessness

hi guys, early last week i had a few really sleepless nights, a couple of nights i really struggled to get to sleep, then the 3rd night i woke at 3am and didnt get back to sleep at all. Then i started sleeping normal again, then the last couple of days i have been waking up again in the early hours of the morning a few times, but going back to sleep.
i know insomnia is a sign of pregnancy, but i was wondering if anyone else has had this and what it was like? if it was struggling to sleep or restless nights waking up alot??? Thanks girls!
