slings/carrier?

Hello ladies,
I am having my first LO, and love the idea of using a carrier or sling of some sort when he is big enough. are there any that are good or bad, and any that any of you have used and have comments on?

I love a good ring sling. I used mine from when dd2 was a newborn until she was about 3. This time though i'm also buying a snugbaby and a papoozle but will probably use them after the newborn stage.

I love my babyhawk... and the wilkinet carrier is pretty comfy too
