So I just slipped on the ice getting off the bus, I didn't fall hard though it was more like I stepped onto an incline and just kinda twisted and slid down onto my hip/thigh. I'll definitely have a bruise on my hip and maybe my knee, but I don't feel like I fell HARD, it wasn't a big jolt cause I was kinda sliding down the incline as I fell.

I know after 24 weeks or so they say to go in for monitoring if you have any falls at all, but I'm only 13 weeks and my instinct is that I'm fine and baby's fine. My next appointment is in 6 days so we'll be checking heartbeat and everything then. I don't feel the need to rush in for monitoring right now.

Does that seem sane to you all? I don't want to be reckless or anything.

Perfectly sane :)
Baby should be well protected and isn't in a vulnerable position so I wouldn't worry.

I tend to be a worry wart so I personally might just give the doc a call but that's just because anxiety sort of rules my life, haha.

But for some reassurance, last week I slipped on some thick ice and did a weird dance before landing firmly on my butt. Checked baby girl with the Doppler when I got home and heartbeat was there, nice and steady. For that reason I didn't call the doc. I didn't feel I landed hard either but it was hard enough that my belly jiggled a bit :) I had a routine ultrasound a few days later and baby was happy and healthy. x
