I wonder if anyone could offer any insight or advice..
Been trying to conceive for years and after a laparoscopy, hysteroscopy months of Clomid we are finally booked in for IVF in November. I am 35 and the problem is that my tubes are jagged so the eggs are getting stuck. We have to fund it ourselves due to the fact I have a 13 year old son from a previous relationship but my husband and I have no children together. So after 18 months of scrimping and saving we finally have £5k to start treatment. The problem is, is that I am currently 3 days late. I am never late and have an average 27 day cycle every month since I can remember. I have done pregnancy tests and they are negative. What's worrying me is that if I don't start anytime soon, could that mean that I have gone into menopause and does that mean that I won't be able to have the IVF if I don't have a period? I have a low AMH of 2.2 which was done a few months ago but surely it can't be the end already??
