Has anyone put their baby on sma hungry baby at 5 weeks old? my lil one is drinking 4-5oz every 2-3 hrs just wondered if this mite help during the night

I doubt it - feeding often is normal for a 5 week old baby and I wouldn't expect that a baby of that age could go longer than 4 hours in the night and 3 in the day. Hungry baby milk is harder to digest and may be too much for a newborn tummy and give him constipation or make him cranky. If he is satisfied with the right amount of formula for his weight then just keep him on first milk for the time being.

My little one is 4 weeks on saturday and feeds around 3-4oz every 2 hours including in the night and my health visitor suggested trying the hungry baby milk at night, not sure if I am going to yet though.

I put Finley on hungry milk (hipp) at 7 weeks, he was draining 7oz every hour since he was 3 weeks thus bringing it back up and being unsettled :( he is much better since we changed him, he still feeds loads in the daytime but will do a 4 hour stretch at night (for the past week anyway!) he's shown no signs of constipation either. Feeding every 2-3 hours is pretty good though for a 5 week old, i'd give him a little longer yet. x
