SMEP- Does it matter what cycle day you start?

It says online to start cd8 but my cycle start is always a bit hit n miss as I spot before I flow so I'm on cd 8/9 today. Does one day make a difference when I don't know when I will ovulate (12-14 usually

I wouldn't think it would make a difference. The soonest I've ever ovulated is cd10 but that's pretty uncommon. Good luck!
