SMP & xmas and bank hols

Hiya

I get 25 days hol a year plus bank holidays. With smp do you still get paid for bank holidays if you normally would or will they deduct money for it?

"weeks" of SMP are counted as a calender week. So every week is a week of SMP, irrespective of whether it contains a bank holiday or not.

You will get paid standard SMP for the calender weeks, and you should accrue the bank holidays to take as holiday upon your return to work

Any months where less calender weeks fall, February springs to mind! But really it depends what day you started maternity x

Thanks hun. I started 19th sept so my my first proper smp.started 1st nov. Before that was my 6 wks at 90%. Xx

Thinking about it, it wouldn't actually matter what day you started on i'm being thick lol. It'll just be worked out on weeks within the month, i.e. if there are 4 fridays in the month you'll get 4 weeks pay, 5 fridays will be 5 weeks pay etc x

Ah okay so next mnth is 5 so i will possibly get more than nov where there was 4. Theres 4 in the other mnths between now and may so i will likely not get less than what i got this mnth 565? Im sure i read some mnths someone got 480 and another 600 and the inbetweens. So confusing. Lol. Xx
