Sneaking back in...

California will be the perfect get away spot! We already have snow here (early winter this year), but I agree November is one of my least favorite months because it usually is quite dreary!

I'm definitely needing some distraction in life. This whole past year has just felt monotonous and meaningless. A puppy should change things up for us

I knew it snowed early out there this year, but it actually stayed on the ground? In October? Yikes! My DH loves snow...he's a skiing freak.

We're approaching our one year wedding anniversary and I can't say it's been the happiest year of my life...possibly the hardest!

Ya, we got about 6 inches of thick, heavy snow on Friday and it stuck. Who knows if we'll get more or if this stuff will eventually melt

I can completely relate when you say the first year married was tough. Ours was really hard too, even though we lived together for 7 years before getting married and are well acquainted with each others habits (good and bad). We are young and newly graduated from school so we were also in the first/second year of our new careers, newly married & not really getting along (it was a hard adjustment which actually surprised me), serious family illness, and then TTC was just the cherry on top of an all around hard year.

It was all pretty stressful, so I'm not altogether entirely surprised that we weren't successful TTC and in a lot of ways I think its good that it didn't happen right away. I think we needed that year to figure ourselves out as a married couple.

As for now, I feel like we are making some positive decisions about how we want our life to look (regardless of whether we are successful at having a child) and for the first time in a long time I'm actually excited about my life again. If I could finally put TTC behind me I would be set!

Oh my Belle - snow in mid-October? Where do you live? You have a longer winter than we do here in MN which I thought was FOREVER! I love winter/snow from December through February but can do without November and March through April. So much excitement though!! New house and new puppy!! Do you have a name for the pup yet?

Boston should be a fun trip. DH and his dad and 2 of his brothers were just there a couple of months ago, I was jealous as it is on my list of places I'd like to go. They had a good time, being that they come from Irish decent. Though, I'm sure anyone can enjoy it :)

Wishn, California will be a good trip too! I've only been out there a couple times, to San Francisco and south of LA. It's usually so sunny and nice out there. I couldn't afford to live there, and probably wouldn't want to, but fun to visit!

2much - I highly recommend pre-seed if you aren't using it. I get a fair amount of CM myself, but sometimes just am not really in the mood when it comes time to BD so it helps. I find the inserter/applicator really easy and I usually take care of it before I even get DH's attention so he doesn't know that I used a little help in that area. Do you take antihistamines? I know that can dry things up. I usually take one every morning, I'm skipping it for the next week or so to see if it makes any difference.

AFM - CD 10, O anywhere between CD 16 and 20 usually so getting geared up for our baby making week. Good news is I only have class 1 day this week (as opposed to 3) and took Fri (CD 15) off from work so I'm hoping to be nice and relaxed through the weekend as I am usually pretty stressed out. I was going to just plan to BD over the course of the week and not even use OPK or temp to confirm O to try to keep it more relaxed, but then remembered that I'm supposed to start the progesterone up about 4 DPO so I'll need to know when that is.

Wishn - not to go against your doctor's advice, but I can't imagine it would hurt anything. Did they say you can't DTD or just not to try to conceive? If there are no restrictions on DTD, then I'd say go for it! It may not happen since you are still healing inside, but I don't think it can hurt.

Pleasance - how are you doing?

Do you use preseed then 2much?

I added EPO (2000 mg daily after AF finishes until ovulation) to my supplements even though I get ewcm and found that it pretty much doubled the amount that I was getting.

Yeah I just bought some actually! Hopefully it helps. I will have to look up EPO!

I don't take antihistamines- but I did notice that Clomid seemed to dry things up too. :dohh: I have a few things working against me right now, haha!

How was everyone's weekends?

Hey MK, I live in a Northern city in Canada. I used to live in a small town further north when I was a kid and it wasn't unusual to get snow in September.... there was ALWAYS snow by Halloween, so your costume had to fit over your snow suit LOL and it was too cold to walk from house to house so your mom would drive you to the next one so you could warm up. Happy memories :) With global warming though we've had a few warm winters, and I'm noticing that our seasons seem to be shifting.... more snow in November and less in March. Its not altogether uncommon to have snow October-May but lately we've been getting warmer years and that hasn't been the case. I think we are paying for all of that warm weather now!

We are thinking about naming the puppy Zola! My husband has a stutter (so freaking cute LOL, although he hates it) and he can say Zola without tripping over it, so he liked the name right away!

CD 11 here and I'm betting my OPK will be positive today! Time to get busy!!

Love pups, love the name! And hoping you get a positive OPK, enjoy DTD. :) lol.

Thanks 2much!

Got my +OPK tonight! Will probably O tomorrow!

Woo hoo Belle, fingers crossed for catching that egg!

Woohoo Belle! Good luck!

In the waiting room for my cd12 scan. Hoping for some follies that'll be ready to trigger Weds/Thurs. Hubby is gone until Thurs so I really hope they aren't ready now.

Edited to add: 22mm, 19mm, 18mm, 16mm. He said to trigger tonight and should be good to DTD Thursday...

Those are some awesome follies!!! Hope the trigger does the trick for you! I'm following you closely because unless we conceive in the next cycle or 2 we'll be diagnosed unexaplained infertility as well. Such a bummer!

Thanks, Belle! I'm watching for good news from you, too.

Trigger was easy to do myself, so that was a relief. I'm really hoping I don't O until Thursday, ugh. How stressful. My hubby rarely travels and the one time he does.... :sad2:

Either way, I have some relief in that my body responded so well to Clomid. At least we know that one part works...

2much, was this your first round of Clomid?

Fingers crossed for you!

Today is either O day or I'm 1 dpo. Still feeling "interested" and had ewcm this AM so thinking today may actually be O day

Good luck 2much, I hope you can catch that egg when he gets home!

Belle it looks like you are pretty well covered in the BD department whether O was yesterday or today!

I'm cd11 today...still haven't broken the 'no sex for 2 weeks' post-op instruction yet. Had a negative opk and what I thought was fertile cm earlier today, but it turned into weird brown watery stuff, so I have no idea what my body is doing! DH is doing his repeat semen analysis on Saturday so we'll have to abstain at least 2 days before that. We either BD tonight or not until after the SA!

Now is the countdown, haha! Should be able to BD in 12 hours. I really hope we don't miss it. Plus hubby is sick with some flu bug but TOO BAD!

Belle it sounds like your timing is ideal! :) Fingers crossed.

Wishn- your body is probably confused from all the things it has gone through! I would try not to over-analyze it (but I know how hard that is!)

Wishn - when do you usually O? What's DH's current view on breaking the rules?

2much - good luck today, hopefully DH isn't too sick! He doesn't really have a choice though with the trigger, right? Can't go through slo that for nothing!

Belle - hope you stay distracted during the TWW. I really hope you have better luck than I did first month after a procedure!

I hope we see some more BFPs here? Speaking of, how are those in the 1st tri doing?

Thanks MK, I'm not keeping my hopes too high, and luckily I will be plenty distracted because I have to pack up my whole house these next 2 weeks and prepare for a trip to Boston! And work is nuts!!!! Everything always comes all at once lol

Also have our follow up appointment with the RE today at 11. I don't think they will tell us anything new, but I do have a couple questions about our lab results. Undecided about whether or not I would go on clomid if they suggested it

Oh gosh, in the last couple hours I've gotten hit with AWFUL cramps. I don't know how anyone can DTD with these, lol. But hey, maybe it means it's working and we didn't miss the window...
