is stressful, and sometimes I think of giving up but when I look at my LO I regret thinking that. I am soooooooooo tired, it sucks up all my time, and I cannot do anything elseeeeeeee!!!!!!! :hissy:

he is still small, as they get older it becomes less time consuming but i think every boobie mom feels in the beginning that she never gets off the couch!

I hear you! I think of giving up all the time, but then feel guilty and it spurs me on to keep it up. Sometimes it does feel like its all you're doing all day long!

Keep going:hug: Never found it stressful, chill and enjoy all that time with your baby. Demanding, but does get easier, honest.

good luck! do what will make you all happy.

Gah I use it as a damn good excuse to snuggle up on the couch with Sam and watch rubbish on the box..lol

It does get better, it won't always be so demanding. Just hang in there love, I had those same thoughts, and suddenly I looked up and noticed that Bren was going longer between feeds and was feeding much quicker.

keep going hun! I know the feeling but just think it isn't forever and it does get easier with time with less frequent feeds etc you doing a great job and think of all the goodness your LO is getting

Hey chick, I'm in the same boat, LO is 5 weeks and I feel like I feed ALOT and it makes me worry at times, we just have to keep at it in the faith that it will get easier. Believe it or not my LO feeds better at night than in the day! BF is full of suprises !!

it really does get easier. We still have days where he feeds all the time but mostly we are at about 8 feeds a day which is great. Most feeds are done in half an hour as well now instead of the hour and a half it used to take!

I know what you mean. Byron was great feeding every 4-5 hours but recently he's moved to every 2-3 hours, even every hour at times! Having said that he's put on 1lb12oz in 2 weeks so at least I know it's doing him good. But how special is it when they have their eyes closed and little hands on the sides on the breast. Byron keeps falling asleep at the end and I only notice when I realise he is smiling in his sleep.

i love reading these posts! not because i think it's good but because i know i'm not alone, and i echo what the others have said, it does get easier. the last 2 weeks, all of a sudden he latches straight away instead of crying for a few mins before realising whats in his mouth. and he feeds in 20 mins tops instead of 45 mins, so it much less stressful for us both!

I use to feed LO all day all night every hour and was worried nothing was done (housework) but I'm happy i didn';t give up.
Hang on there hun, it will be worth it
