OKay....hey ladies! I have been a lerking around here for a long time now.... I have a crazy question........
Here is a brief background:
Dx with PCOS, started 1500mg Metformin daily 1/2010
Tried three months of clomid (2 of 50mg & 1 of 100mg) never ovulated
Used Provera every month to induce AF
Referred to a RE: Suggesting Letrozole, injections, & IUI
So I figured I would give my last dose of clomid a shot before visiting the RE. I took 100mg on cd3 (April 30th). Never got a bright positive OPK, assuming nothing will happen. RE told me to take hpt on day 33, if negative then start Provera. So I did hpt, turns out negative... too chicken to start provera...waited another day, started provera.. For some reason I felt the urge to do an OPK yesterday (cd39) and it was BLAZING positive(never seen one this bright in 9 months).....??
I did another hpt & it was negative.....
So I guess my question is.....Will provera cause a false positive? Or is it possible that I really am ovulating this late in the cycle? I stopped temping, too stressful for me!
