I have been feeling lots of pressure lately. Some times after sitting when i get up i cant even walk or it hurts to try and walk. I have been having a really laid back, easy pregnancy until now. I even hurt when i try to turn over in bed. This is my first pregnancy so im not sure if this is the normal for women or what. I dont have an appointment until monday, but i was just wondering the opinions of you ladies that experience this or dont experience this!

Yeah I've had a ton of pressure for the past few weeks. I mentioned it at my doctor's appt and of course was told it's "normal". I would definitely mention it to your MW/DR if it's causing you pain or making you that uncomfortable, just to be safe.

Also I know exactly what you mean with turning over in bed. I flip flop sides all night and every time I flip over, it's exhausting and hurts.

I'm in the same boat and my Dr. also said "oh it's normal" :( I just try to cope!

Thanks ladies. I hope it all starts to feel better for all of us. I just didnt if i was alone in this situation or not. Its good to know its not just me but at the same time, i wouldnt want any of you ladies to feel as i do. I will metion this at my next appointment and see what my doctor says. Thanks again!

I get this too, along with loads of BH. I get pains down there too, and pressure. My midwife said it's 'normal' too. Gee thanks! lol.

same here, he said its normal and to try to keep as active as possible..he said thats the only thing that will help.. but it really doesnt help.

I figure my Dr will say the same, but i guess i will have to try walking more anyway. Its just hard to imagine when getting around on a normal day to day basis comes hard. lol.

This just started for me as well a couple of weeks ago, until then I felt great. Now every time I stand up it hurts, it hurts to turn in bed too.

my doctor told me it wasnt normal if it lasts more than 2 days consecutive, now you can have the pain all week but as long as you get a break in the pain your fine, my doctor said if its constant that i need to come in right away cause it could be placental abruption where the placenta starts to pull away from the uterine wall, most of the time it causes bleeding but he said sometimes the only sign you have is abdominal pain and pressure and that always warrents a trip to the office to make sure. i asked my doctor if there was anything stronger than tylenol to take i was given a script for vicodin to help with the pain.

I have this issue and I talked to my dr about it and come to find out I have SPD (Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction). It is horrible but sleeping with a pillow between my legs, keeping my legs together while rolling over in bed as to bring them over at the same time...little things like this seems to really help. A pregnancy belt is also a very good thing as it helps keep all of the weight off of your bone. Hope it gets better for you :)

In my culture pregnant women after 30 weeks are advised to not roll in bed from say left side to the right side etc... If I need to turn, I get up , turn my body and go to bed. This has helped me significantly and I no longer get nasty pains near by pubic bone.

I get the same problem, ive had it from since i was 20 weeks and it has got worse. I was too told is was SPD like ajraye. I have a physio appointment booked in for next week to show me some excercises that might relieve the pain. Ive started to waddle due to the pain i get in my pelvis now. My midwife advised me that its quite common in pregnancy really.

No pain, but loads of uncomfortable pressure after going for a short walk or even walking up just five stairs. I have to sit down and breathe because the discomfort is so bad! The last two nights, too, have had a good amount of pressure after I've gone to bed.

I've had it throughout most of my pregnancy, it's sooo bad now though...

tmi? Sometimes it literally feels like my vagina is going to turn inside out,,, if that makes sense?

I've carried very low and my dr. has equated it to that, and well now she's just engaged so it's worst... But maybe your carrying low as well???

I have the same and i got told its probably because baby is in head down position! She figits and the pain goes away so im guessing in my case its that!

Thanks ladies! Im thinking it could be any of these but my hunch is telling me it is because baby has been in head down position for some time now. I will mention it to my doctor and see what he says.
