Finding it so hard to concentrate today - constantly in tears

After two miscarriages (Oct 12 (8 weeks) and April 13 (6 weeks)) and two chemical pregnancies (April12 and December 12) all through IVF I found out I was pregnant naturally on 28 November ...

I'm 43 and we have been trying for 7 years ... haven't had many symptoms at all (like the last pregnancies) but yesterday they disappeared altogether

I have a scan later this afternoon and i'm so scared that something has gone wrong again ... not sure I can cope with another miscarriage

I'm sending lots of hugs and positive thoughts your way. I hope your scan goes well!

PAL is just hard. Good luck with your scan and keep us posted!

Stress/worry/fear can mask any and all pregnancy symptoms. With my current pg especially, my symptoms have been so mild and so hit-and-miss because of anxiety, I just quit worrying about them. Ultrasounds and labs have shown everything is going fine but it doesn't eliminate ALL worry. I see my dr tomorrow because I had a spotting scare on Monday and I'm trying to be certain that my u/s tomorrow will show a hb. Hang in there and I hope your ultrasound shows everything is fine!

Thanks for all the kind words - I am still driving myself mad - I was meant to be around 6 weeks 6 days on the scan but the baby only measured 3mm 5-6 weeks. We did see a heartbeat but I'm not convinced it was a strong one. I feel so hopeless and helpless and have convinced myself this pregnancy is failing :nope:

I know it's impossible not to worry and think the worst. I hope everything works out well <3 Will you be having another follow up scan?

I had an early scan with this pregnancy due to previous mmc. At the scan Baby measured 8 weeks 3 days but should have been measuring 9 weeks 4 days. Despite the 8 day difference everything had turned out fine and I'm now 23 weeks pregnant with a healthy little boy.

Try not to lose all hope <3

At this stage it's not uncommon for a baby to measure up to a week behind. My son measured a week behind all through the first trimester when he caught up at 14 weeks. He's a healthy 2 year old now.

Being pregnant after so many losses really can be very scary. :hugs: Are you having another scan to check on growth?

Thanks Kasey84 and Starry Night your posts have made me feel a lot better whatever happens. It was a private scan so they have said go back as soon as they are open in the new year - 2nd January and they will rescan me then ... Going to be a long 2 weeks

:grr:

If you saw a hb, that's great news! And early scans can be WAY off. My sis had a due date moved back 2 full weeks with her older son (because he measured two weeks behind even at 20 weeks) and he just turned 5 at the beginning of this month. Some babies are just on the small side. And at 6 weeks the hb can be on the lower side because baby's heart has literally just started to beat. It picks up as the days go by but a lower rate at first isn't uncommon. Hang in there and try to enjoy the holidays. Remember, today you are pregnant. I know the next 10 days are going to be hard but I have every hope that you'll see a healthy bubba at your next scan.

A friend of mine had her rainbow baby a few
Months ago and the whole way through she was told she was measuring too small and she was worried sick. Then she have birth and he was 9lb9!..... Not very small to me. So scans can always be a bit out

thanks everyone for you kind words ... sorry I haven't replied earlier but have been 'keeping busy' over the holidays trying not to worry or stress to much. Next scan is tomorrow so I will know one way or the other then. A few pregnancy symptoms did come back (heartburn, breast tenderness, insomnia) but they were only mild and have now gone again completely (have never once felt nauseous or been sick). Fingers crossed!

Good luck i hope all will be confirmed and well for you xx

Good luck! Let us know how you get on. I have my first scan tomorrow as well

Ladyluck84 so so pleased your scan went well here's to the next 7 1/2 months

Unfortunately I wasn't so lucky - baby hadn't grown any more and there was no heartbeat this time :nope: scheduled for another scan this weekend but that's just a formality - hoping for a d&c early next week so we can move on ... Something's are just not meant to be
