I know this is posted on here a lot about how we are always tired but this is getting out of hand. I can barely will myself to go to the basement to do laundry. I thought this sleepiness was supposed to go away in the 2nd trimester but mine is still here. I'm not anemic, I don't think. I drink my water. I do admit to forgetting my vitamins... I need to get better about that.

Any suggestions or advice on how to get my energy up?? Anyone else suffering from extreme exhaustion at 21+ weeks??

Its hard to find energy to do anything sometimes. I am finding this second pregnancy much harder than the first with tiredness but I have found that taking iron tablets every other day has helped, try to pace yourself during the day, keep busy but at a slower pace. Take lots of little breaks with snacks to keep your energy levels up as much as possible, make sure your drink enough and have a relaxing bath of an evening to try and unwind before going to bed - if you can get a good nights sleep I find that helps. Equally though - if you sleep too much it can make you more drowsy! If its not freezing outside open the windows and get some fresh air or go for a short walk to de-cobweb your mind.
Just take your time when doing things, don't let yourself get down or feel guilty if you don't get everything done as and when you want to - pregnancy is knackering at times!
It is a big thing for your body to go through so make sure you take time out for you.

I feel constantly exhausted too :( Think its pregnancy combined with working too hard, but that has to be done! 13 weeks til mat leave, cant wait!!

I wish I could find energy too. Everyone told me that I'd feel GREAT in the second trimester, but nope. I'm exhausted every single day. It's terrible.

Im really sick of it too..i just wanna get things done!

Keep an eye on your iron intake. A liquid iron supplement has really helped me.

im the same way..tired and all i want todo is sleep n lay around,i take my vitamins ,but i have to set an alarm on my cell for 11pm every night so i remember to take it. without that id never take it lol

I slept from 6:30pm last night right after work until 7:30 am this morning. I've never felt so tired in my life. I am taking prenatal vitamins but no additional iron supplement. When I got my bloods done in first tri my iron was 113 but my Dr. said it should be 115. It could be lower now that I have a complete aversion to meat.

I don't eat a lot of meat either, especially no red meat. I should probably start adding an iron supplement to my diet but it makes me feel sick to my stomach, even when I take it with food.

I'd like to know more about this liquid iron supplement...
