soap nuts and strip washing

If i were to use soap nuts, would i still have to do strip washes of the nappies?

Thats what i've been lead to believe because soapnuts dont leave a detergent build up x

i dont think so but soap nuts doesnt get stains out very well from what i hear (i really should test the ones i have!)

I will then hopefully get some this week as im currently doing a strip nappy wash and its taking foreveeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrr
