Some advice needed - chart interpretation?

Hi,

I was wondering if you ladies could help me. I need to have my Day 21 bloods taken this month - it was due to be done last month but it fell on a Saturday and my hospital don't do bloods at the weekend.

However I am not convinced FF has calculated my ov date correctly. My temps are all over the place this month due to DH starting a new job which often requires him to get up at 4am which has thrown my temp times out completely. I used a Clearblue monitor for the first time this month so that data is also on my chart.

Given that I have a 13 day LP, going by FF's ov date that would mean I need the progesterone test done on Tuesday (CD 24) but I don't think I ov'd until two days after this meaning that I should leave it until Thursday (CD 26).

Any thoughts?

I think FF looks right. I wouldn't worry too much about it...2 days won't make too much of a difference. As long as it is approximately a week after O, you should be fine :)

My progesterone levels aren't great at the best of times - one of my tests came back as 'undetermined' - it was too low for them to definitely say I ovulated (possibly due to the timing of it).

From the temps I agree FF looks right, but I didn't even get my first peak on the CBFM until the day after FF says I ovulated?

I haven't used the CBFM, so I can't speak from personal experience, but from what I've heard other ladies say, it takes the monitor a few months to get used to your cycles so it may not be as accurate at first. I know that there was also a discussion about the time of day that the directions say to test your urine. It suggests first morning urine, but in reality, FMU shouldn't be used for OPKs...it will be more accurate if you use afternoon urine. There is a really good link with information about that on the 'pee on a stick' site.

Lol! I am sorely tempted :p

I guess I will see how my temps look over the next couple of days. Thankfully I don't need to book an appt to have the blood taken as I already have the authorisation form from the doctor so I can just turn up after work on one of the days. I just hope they don't make a mess of my arm this time (bruising) as I have a wedding to go to on Friday and will be wearing a sleeveless dress!

Serenyx, a couple more thoughts for you. If you can look back at your old charts, you might be able to tell if the coverline is in the right place. If you're not above your normal coverline until CD20, then that's a clue. Another option is to ask if you can have a second progesterone test. Not sure how that works with NHS, but it might be worth considering. As the others have said, it should be 7dpo plus or minus 1, so splitting the difference could work.

Good luck!
