Hiya

Hope you ladies can help shed some light on something.

Since hubby and I have become more 'serious' on ttc, it has come to my attention that after we have Bd I have to go to the toilet as it feels as though the little spermies have back tracked and start swimming out again ( must be too dark for ) I have tried lying with pillows and with my legs up but it still happens, just wondered if anyone else has had that?

I'm expecting the :witch: any day now, so once I start ovulating again I will be trying pre-seed, do you think that will help, or do you think the little things will still head into the light!!!?

Hi there, I wondered about this too so you're not alone.

However, the sperm (that are transported in the semen) will make their way (hopefully) in through your cervical opening and wait for the release of an egg to fertilize. What comes back out of your body is mostly semen (I would imagine there are still sperm too, but millions of them will have attempted to swim the other way. You won't loose it all if your cervical opening is "open for business".

i wouldnt worry happens to me too but i think it happens to a lot of people! i think it means theres an ample supply:rofl:

Thanks it's nice to know I'm not alone!

I got a bit worried that it was me bits saying 'sorry, if your names not down, you're not coming in!!':dohh:

I think it's the semen that comes out the spermies carry on swimming lol!

Happens to me too, think it does happen to most people.

Have to say dreamer I love your doggies they look stunning x

I wouldnt worry i should think enough get through before it comes back out again lol

When a man ejaculates, hundreds of thousands of sperm are in that small amount of semen. They have to make their way through the cervix (which can kill off a lot of them if you are not at the right time of the month when the 'environment' is more acidic), which if you have EWCM (optimum conditions for sperm) a great number will make it through.

Now, I have read that only about 200 make their way up the correct fallopian tube. But that is still a lot of sperm and only one needs to fertilise the egg.

So, I wouldn't worry about sperm coming out - after the initial momentum of ejaculation, the ones going through the cervix would probably have made it already and the ones that come out would probably have done so anyway.

If you are concerned, keep doing the pillow under the bum thing.

Good luck!

I would start using preseed. The stuff is wonderful!

yes don't worry...i have the same thing happen to me as well (you don't want the bad swimmer any way)we want only the best!

Oh thanks so much ladies you have really eased my mind, I was getting quite worried!

I suppose it's out with the 'bad and in with the good!'

Thank you bumb, they are lovely dogs, little rascals at times but I wouldn't want them any other way! :dohh:

Are they malamutes?? They're stunning

Thank you they are my beautiful little furbabies....well maybe not so little!

We are not too sure what any of them are to be honest, the big boy in the middle is a rescue and went in as a stray, the rescue guessed him to be a German Shepherd x Rottweiler which a few people also think, the other 2 are sisters and are breeders rejects, they are malamutes x huskys, but are quite small:wacko:

They are cuties!!!

And yes, I get leakage too,

I must admit there was a couple of times where he had very little to no leaking, which was when I "O'd" the same time as DH, or just after he did (like seconds later) - I think the contractions held it in better.
