WELL you laugh but the other nurse asked me, after they told me it was internal, she asked, OH are you allergic to latex!

I looked at OH and he chuckled and I said "you mean like gloves?" COS they wear gloves don't laugh! AND she went "yes or condoms!" I swear I shot that damn contraption another look and bolted to have a pee ))))

That is a funny reaction to the internal scan too. I had to have one when I had abnormal uterine bleeding in the middle of my cycles on a regular basis. They told me that they had scheduled me for an ultrasound and I said "Oh okay, makes sense." I asked my mom what an ultrasound would be like, and she basically described everything I knew from tv shows and documentaries - all external. When I got to the doctor's office, and the lady explained to me what was going to happen, I actually lost all composure and said "Huh?!" like an idiot. She explained it again, which didn't make me feel any more comfortable.

Just thought i would update you girls. heard Bubbas heartbeat today. Was a scary moment the first midwife couldnt get it and kept checking. I was bricking it and she seemed so not bothered by it. I went for a wee and came back, The second midwife then checked and got it spot on
I have a increasing fibroid above my cervix which has pushed my uterous up to 16 week size. Im 12 week one day.

Watched This morning about Natural Killer Cells and a simple low cost blood test to detect for it. Only problem is only London or Liverpool carry it out. The consultation fee is £250 (they didnt mention that) Unfortunately I cannot afford that and the price of medication if I need it. It doesnt seem fair that its not carried out on everyone. Ive lost 5 babies so its such a worry for me.

Just hope all my family and friends prayers and wishes get Bubba through all this.

Awww Alex, I am so glad you heard the heartbeat tho. I have heard of those cells too and it is crazy that there is no easier way to get the help and treatment which would help so many women who go through so much heartache and pain. Sending you extra love and prayers for your lil bean to make it through this time. XXX
