Stabbing pain in vagina! Sorry if tmi

I went to put my son down for a nap and got this god awful stabbing pain in my vagina. I'm 28 weeks and I didn't know if this was normal.

Sounds like lightning crotch - my midwife described it as feeling like someone is stabbing a knitting needle up there. Basically it's baby hitting your cervix. Takes your breath away doesn't it. All normal though.

I was getting that between 27 and 30 weeks. And it's returned at 35 weeks. Does really feel like I'm being stabbed there!

How long does it usually last?? It's been doing it all day..

It's on and off a couple times it did it when the baby moved and felt like a gush came out down there but it was nothin !!

It's horrid, I've had it most days since I guess about 26 weeks. I never had it with my first so was a big shock! Can sometimes happen once in a day or can happen a lot in a day. However if you've any symptoms that accompany it it's probably worth checking, but unfortunately it probably is the lightning crotch!

UGHHH I started getting this around week 20...omg the pain! My doctor said it's normal.
