When Connor goes pee in the potty we give him a little candy (m&m). Today I noticed he held his hand out after he went potty for his little treat. I feel like this is going to become a bad habit as the months progress and he wont want to give it up. I would use stickers as a treat for going potty but he could honestly care less if he got a sticker. Anyone else potty train with little treats and successfully wean them off without them throwing a fit?

A friend used the same method.. until one day her daughter poured some juice in the potty and said 'teddy chocolate' Lol :D

I used a sticker chart with my son. He got a star or a wee smiley face for a wee, and I had a sheet of bigger reward stickers for poo.
He loved getting to choose the sticker and put it on the chart.

When he had so many I let him choose a toy car.

I used the chart again when moving from the potty to the loo and it worked great :)
