I have been doing a little bit of reading online and I read that after sex you should stay in bed and lay down for a little bit. Is this a myth or is there some truth to that?

Thanks, ladies!

It doesn't hurt, but it's not the end of the world if you don't. As long as he shoots in deep you should be fine :)
We cuddle for 15-20 minutes then I go pee BUT I don't push it out.
If you have a tilted uterus you should be laying on your stomach rather then your back.

For me the only thing that worked was doggie style :haha: and then just lying there for a bit. I had a tilted uterus though. I don't think it hurts to let things sit for a while afterwards!

I have had a few iuis, and even my re would lift the bottom of the exam table and had me lay there for about 5 minutes. Should would say to add a little luck, lol. It also has been shown that orgasm helps because the contracts help to move it along. And try to stay away from saliva as lubricant, it's not a sperm friendly!

I honestly don't think it makes a huge difference. I've heard of people BDing standing up and still getting pregnant. So think the good strong :spermy: will get up there no matter what. When I've been having my IUIs the nurse doesn't let me lay there for more than 1-2 minutes so I'm thinking it doesn't make a difference. When we were TTCing naturally, I tried lying there for 10-15 minutes after each BDing for months but never did get a BFP (other than my chemical 7th cycle trying back in April 2014).

But if you want to give it a go then go ahead:winkwink: But I wouldn't stay lying down for more than about 10 minutes, max.
