Following on from my last thread about Leo and his 100mph sick...

I stopped putting the coleif drops in his bottle over 2 days as I really didnt feel they were doing much as he was still really unsettled after feeds. Well Im happy to say the projectile vomitting has stopped and he seems to wind better but he still seemed unsettled and would chew his fists and really chomp on his dummy even tried offering more feed so I fugured he must have griping pains still after some feeds so I thought I would give dentinox a go. So sometimes I put it in his feeds and once or twice I gave it him from the syringe...he didnt like it lol.
Yesterday he was soooo grouchy all day and was def in pain come tea time, when he pood it was non stop slurry for like 10 mins and it was dark green......did the dentinox upset his tummy do you think? I havt given him any today and he has been a little better but hasnt had a number 2 as yet.
Im thinking is the milk not agreeing with him? Hes on C&G Comfort.

sometimes a greeny poo is a sign of slight cold on his belly hun...have you tried infacol??
i tried everything with archie(i found dentinox to be the best) and just counted down the days until he could have gripe water and then the only one that suits him is the boots own apple flavoured one

He did another of these green poos late last night too. I mean dark green, and quite runny...It lasted about 10 mins, then the last bit was yellow:dohh: Thing is, he was really restless and cranky in the hour or so before he did it and I suspect he had a bad tummy ache as he kept trumping and it smelled awful! He didnt sleep very well either through the night so Im absolutely exhausted!

Ive had him on infacol since birth and yes it seems to bring up his wind, but still he seems to suffer with gripe pains.

Thing is, Ive been full of some damn cold for the last few days, all bunged up and lost my voice....could he have caught something of me, although hes not showing any other signs of illness?

Im getting near my wits end tbh, I stopped using Colief about 4 days back as I just figured it wasnt doing anything, so I tried dentinox but the day after he got this green poop then yesterday I gave him just his bottles with the occasional infacol and STILL hes unsettled, cranky, seems to have wind all the time...especially after feeds........Could it be his milk???? I seem to have tried everything but something doesnt sit right with me...maybe he needs some sort of special milk off the doctor?

God, my HV cant come quick enough tomorrow.

i dont want to point you in any direction iykwim but this kind of what archie was like hes been diagnosed as lactose intolerant now and is on wysoy from the doctor...the poo has settled down as has the bellyache..lactose can display itself as colic kind of syptoms and can be missed due to that(obv not in extreme cases tho) is he fussy with the bottle as he is taking it arching or crying??

My HV came today hun and she says its not lactose intolerance as he is putting on weight....hes now 10lb 13 oz at 3.3 weeks, born 8lb 11 oz.!
He isnt fussy whilst taking the bottle, no..he does the arching and crying once hes burped:dohh: But he wont take any more milk although chomps on his dummy.

she rcommended to change his milk so I have, we shall see.
Thanks hun x

im having the exact same problem less the green poop lol, after ive winded my little one during his feed he wont take the rest of the bottle and seems irritated and like there's wind trapped although he burps several times, i was thinking of changing the milk, i just cant wait for some advice from the health visitor, im at the end of my tether x

I think its his milk hun, i put Patrick on comfort on monday, hes back on 1st milk now...its crippled him with tummy ache and green smelly poo's. Screaming as soon as i take the bottle out of his mouth, bringing up full feeds, arching back, full of wind...does this sound familiar? I'd change his milk hun, ive just given Patrick a bottle of normal c&g milk and hes been fine, settled down no probs in his cot now for the night! xxx

yeah souns very familiar, i tried him with the hungry baby that was worst so switched him back, but now stage 1 is doing the same, ive recentley switched from avent bottles to closer to nature coz it was taking me an hour and half to feed him 5oz these helped for a week now im back to feeding for an hour and half :hissy: and he's become very windy, i dont know if its the milk or the bottles x

Yeah I did the hungry baby thing too and it was worse! Im using CTN bottles with no problems now with stage 1 cow n gate..but i know these bottles dont suit everyone. xx

Hi Girls, just to update you all, I changed Leos milk to Heinz nurture on monday after HV recommendation but almost instantly he was 100 times worse! He screamed/cried/arched back all night long and all tuesday & wed morning. I decided to get a docs advice and Hes diagnosed Leo with Reflux.
He advised me to change back to C&G Comfort and given me baby gaviscon and lots of tips to help him with it. He already seems lots better although its early days and we hope to see yet a little more improvement.

My advice to you, is if you dont think its right, get a second or even third, opinion.:hugs:
