Hi all
I wonder if anyone else has noticed this?
I have a boy (11 months) and my sister has a little girl (12 months) and we are always out together with the kids.
I have just noticed recently how much more attention my niece gets than my son.
Lots of "awws" and "look at her" and "is she precious" and then my son gets a "oh he's cute too" or sometimes not even a word!!
\both babies are cute and both (as most babies do) love the attention, but my poor boy is often sitting there grinning away to an old lady who doesnt even aknowledge him???!!!

Think things like this can add to gender disappiontment.
Boys are just as precious as girls :growlmad:

(sorry for long post!!) :haha:

To be honest, if I think about it an am honest with myself, I think I fawn over boys a lot more in public than I do girls ... I fawn over all babies, but I find myself very focused on the boys when I see them. Girls I will smile at and say hi and call cute, but boys I just get the flirty eyes and I love it lol

My boys always got a lot of attention so I wouldn't really know. My first was a very pretty little baby (mostly thought to be a girl, perhaps that had something to do with it hehe).

My second was ALWAYS making silly weird faces and it was hard to ignore him lol. I think my boys just demanded the attention hahaha.

I'm sorry that happens though. Some people can be unintentionally cruel!
