When do u/did u start getting stretch marks?
I dont have any at the moment but a friend at work suggested that I should start using cocoa butter now to avoid to omuch damage??

Don't think any of that stuff really works. If you're going to get them you'll get them.

i have used cocoa butter since day one and still havent got any, but i dunno if its just down to luck x

I just know that my SIL used the cocoa butter and still got stretch marks in the later stages of her pregnancy.

i used that stuff with my 1st and i didn't get 1 stretch mark!! i've started using it again twice a day already!!
I swear by it!! I WILL NOT GET STRETCH MARKS!!

I've heard that if you are going to get stretch marks you are going to get them no matter what. Apparently if your mom got a lot of stretch marks during her pregnancy you are more likely to get them, also if you are fair skinned you are more likely to get them. Probably not what you wanted to hear though. You can always try the Palmer's cocoa butter and see!

try the coco butter it's good and smeels so nice! my mum got stretch marks but i didn't! u never know u could be lucky!!

I never used any creams and didn't get any stretch marks with my other pregnancies. Hmm, could get them now as I am older and my skin is not as elastic as it was years ago :)

i think stretch mark oil are the best...

I have tried EVERYTHING and I now believe stretch marks are genetic lol! I have shit loads :( Although they're small and white, untill they turn red I won't worry too much!

I wanted to put my 2 cents in here. I am genetically inclined to get stretch marks- I have them from when I first started to “develop” and got more when I gained a bunch of weight. With my first pregnancy, I started to use the following recipe from day one on my belly- did not get one stretch mark despite getting HUGE! Didn’t think to use it on my thighs- started to get stretch marks, started using the recipe, and didn’t get another one. So I’m a believer you can prevent them if you want...even though I don’t care THAT much since I wear the ones I did get proudly as a sign of being a mom. But anyway, for anyone interested, here is what I did:

Immediately after shower: towel dry, use a good, thick lotion (cocoa butter or any other, but be sure it is THICK) first. Then, slather on some baby oil.

Before bed: Apply lotion and then I applied an aromatherapy massage oil to help me sleep, but you could use baby oil again.

Hope that helps anyone interested:winkwink:

i haven't got any stretch marks on my tummy but i have on my boobs!

I used cocoa butter from when i was 4 mths gone and i thought that i'd got away with them. Needless to say at about 36 wks a couple appeared and within the last few wks they were everywhere!!!!

I think if you have the type of skin that is going to get them then you will regardless of what you do......that said I used baby oil in the shower and cocoa butter with my first and still got them but I will be doing it again in an attempt to stop any more!! Its worth doing - if you dont you'd wonder if you might have been spared them otherwise!!!

My friend had twins and swore by cocoa butter. Every day she would apply it and before bed, also after shower. She said she was also massaging babies. She got a couple but to say how big she was, she swears by the stuff.

I am nearly 11 weeks and have stretch marks already!!!
I have suffered with them throughout my teen age years and have accepted that i think im one of those unlucky people that will always get them.
Have tried palmers cocoa butter and baby oil and various other lotions and potions but have come to the conclusion that if you get them you get them!!
Mine are horrible and red at the mo cant wait for them to fade.
Good luck to everyone else try the creams though you never know you may be lucky.
xxx

I've got stretch marks from puberty on my hips and at around 19 or 20 weeks I noticed the first stretch mark appear on my boob even though I'd been using bio oil and palmers cocoa buter every day. Now I'm 26 weeks and my boobs are terrible. Covered in them!! Luckily none anywhere else so far but I'm not sure if it will stay that way!

Unfortunately it's genetics, and the companies really do like to take your money for something that probably doesn't work, except to make you feel pampered and good about yourself.... which is a good thing.

There was one cream that I used after the baby, just because it was on sale, and I got loads of extra points on my boots card, and I used it all the time noe because it smells gorgeous and makes your skin really soft and silky.

Botanics Stretch Mark Corrector.

As you may have guessed, it doesn't correct your stretchmarks... but it's good for a treat. :)
