Totally agree with you!
I think I have developed 'buggy rage' since becoming a mum! So many things annoy me when I am out with the buggy:
1) the elevator thing you have mentioned - especially when you get a gaggle of teenage girls leaping ahead of you into them - why can't they use the escalators or ... shock, horror, the stairs?
2) those irritating small elevators you get for going up one floor - you know the ones I mean, the ones you have to keep your finger on the button the whole time. I hate them! The annoying thing is that if you are about to get out and someone presses it in the floor below, you start to go down again. I remember last week I spent about five minutes going up and down it, with this scary old woman swearing at me from above!
3) Buses that have steps not the lowered floors. Especially those ones that have steps and a barrier down the middle. How on earth are buggies and wheelchairs supposed to get on? And they are supposed to be making public transport more appealing to reduce carbon footprints and all that.
4) Oh - and bus drivers who start to drive off without giving you enough time to park your buggy and put the brake on.
5) People who step in front of your buggy and when you bump into them and sigh really loudly when you apologise (even when it is their fault).
6) Trying to get your buggy into supposedly child friendly chain coffee stores like Starbucks or Costa, when they have stairs into the place and no room round the tables - or even worse, when all their tables and chairs are upstairs and they have no elevators enabling you to go upstairs.
Aaaaaaagggghhhhh!!!
