Strong cramps 5 weeks

I think I'm about 5 weeks but for the past hour I've had the strongest period type pains almost verging on mild contractions. I'm guessing its not a good sign but has anybody had anything like this and it been ok? Thanks in advance

I had some pretty savage cramps with both of my Lo's between 4-7 weeks. Both times I was scanned for suspected ectopic pregnancies and with DS I was told I had a theatened miscarriage, but both were fine

Cramping is pretty normal at that point. I had tons of it at 5 weeks and everything is fine. I was freaking and so terrified of mc, it felt like the worst period cramps of my life. But all is well.
