Hi all

Boys' names - sorted! But I am struggling with a girl's name. We had the same problem with our first baby, then I heard the name Elsa and that was that - perfect! And yes, she was a girl so Elsa May (May after my Nan) she became, and I love her name so much, it is making it hard to choose another girl's name that I love as much.

The middle name will probably be Rose (common yes, but it is my other Grandmother's name), or we could go with Margaret, Rosina or Winnifred as they are all family names.

So for the first name, the short list is:
Hazel
Clara
Agnes
Tessa

Honest thoughts please? Our surname has one syllable and starts with F.

Thanks ladies!

Tessa Rose sounds so gorgeous! I wanted to use it but OH wasn't keen. Hazel is sweet but Hazel Rose sounds more of a description than a name. Hazel Rosina is pretty x

Clara and hazel are both beautiful but I could only vote for one

I'd also recommend Cora and Flora (I like them too!)

Thanks for those. I do have Cora on my shortlist as it's lovely, but we know a Cora so I'm not sure about using it. Flora will sound quite comical with our surname, also starting with an F! But I like your taste!

I like all four names...a lot.

Can't say I like Clara with Rose though. 'R' overload, to my ears.

Think I like Hazel the best.

Thanks all! But it's so close, tough choice!

Who knows, at our 20 week scan tomorrow we may find out what gender baby is, and if it is a boy (as I suspect) then I can stop stressing about girls' names!

As predicted, it's a boy :blue:!! So I can stop stressing about girls' names! Thanks for your thoughts though ladies! Jago or Jowan it is then!
