Don't worry just yet! All this week i've been having nausea, sore boobs, everything; then yesterday, everything completely disappeared. The symptoms are slowly creeping back today, but they're still not as strong. I was in a panic yesterday, thinking the worst (as you do), but I had my first scan today and everything was fine- thankfully!

You will be fine. If your symptoms don't come back in the next few days, speak to your doctor and get them to organise an early scan (but it doesn't mean that anything is wrong- just to put your mind at rest).

Symptoms fluctuate all the time apparently... I learnt that from my research

Im like this now and all last week i had sore boobs and peeing a lot reallt tired today and yesterday nothing i think it can happen as your body adjusts? Or maybe pregnancy hormones flutuating does this?? xox

Symptoms fluctuate hun, hopefully it is just that.

I don't want to scare you but with my second pg that happened to me at 8+2 and I found out my bubs died at that stage (I only had ms and sore boobs and both disappeared), so if this happened to me again I would get a scan to double check everything.

I'm sorry if this worries you, I am sure for every person this happens to there is someone else who is just fine (and hopefully that will be you!) x

Hi Mimi,

Exactly the same thing happened to me with my daughter. I had sore boobs and nausea that stopped about 7 weeks. I made myself so anxious and feared the worst. She is now a perfect one year old! Symptoms come and go. Just try to relax (hard I know!)

I am 8 weeks tomorrow and I think until you have a bump its hard to believe its real!

hey thanks for your replies, cant help but worry especially as i have been under a fair amount of stress this week which cant be good for my little one..

My hcg levels were 82,000 at 7 weeks hopefully they can re-test if my symptoms dont re appear.

cant wait for my 12 week scan now!

the hospital have me down as 8 weeks pregnant but i convinced its wrong as my lmp was in august way past 8 weeks!

all my craving have gone too.. its crazy!! xx

kanga did your symptoms dissapear literaly overnight when you had your m/c? x

ok thanks kanga. im really worried. i have stopped urinating so much, its crazy i had no idea i was pregnant for the first 7 weeks as my result only came up on a blood test. now in them 7 weeks i did not notice the symptoms since i found out i became aware of them now i have none. so worried!

I had this with dd1 and dd2 - both times my symptoms just absolutely vanished at 8-9 weeks pg. Being as the previous 3 pgs before dd1 had all ended in mc, with her pg in particular, I absolutely went in to blind panic mode! However, with both pgs, the symptoms returned with interest about 3-4 days later.. With dd2, as much as I was still a bit apprehensive, I did try to enjoy the break from the nausea!

Common things happen commonly, most pgs result in a baby and most mcs are accompanied by bleeding/stomach cramps etc etc. I know everyone fears mmc hugely but they only occur in 1:100 pgs and the risk of mc at 8 weeks is only 5%!

Hopefully you'll be feeling sick as anything again tomorrow!

Hi there minibaby,

I had the same thing- most of my symptoms seemed to really decrease around 7-8 wks. still had big boobs, but everything else really subsided. I have been really worried ever since and only reassured with the scan at 10 wks. i spoke to my SIL who is a midwife and she told me that you can have all the symptoms and can have had a m/c, and you can have no symptoms and everything is fine. whatever will be will be. so try not to worry. symptoms do come and go apparently, so that is supposed to be normal.

Good luck with your scan though xxx

thank you for all your answers as well as coping with this unexpected pregnancy and the strong opposition of my parents whom are currently ruthlessly encouraging me to have a termination this is a very stressfull time for me. i have strong support from my very loving partner needless to say. xx

This happened when I was pregnant with my son, they all went away for a few weeks at 8 weeks then came back at 9 but with less force then went away completely at 11 weeks. With my MMC I only lost some symptoms, mainly the sickness, and didn't really know anything was wrong so try not to read to much in it you just don't know. Could you go for a private scan to have a wee look at the bean? Only way of knowing really and to put your mind at rest. Try to relax though (easy said than done I know) it can be perfectly normal. xxx

I know this is a really old post but I just wanted to tell you that the risk of miscarriage is 50%, thats 1:2 pregnancies not 1:100. I don't know who on earth told you it was 5%!

I didn't really have any symptoms to begin with...I was slightly fatigued, my nipples were a little sore, and my asthma was exacerbated, but all of that completely stopped about a week ago accompanied by brown spotting. Flipped my shit, had an ultrasound yesterday, and baby is just fine!

The placenta is growing and starting to take over some of the hormone production so lessening of symptoms around this time is very common.

I think she probably meant that the risk of missed miscarriage (not all types of mc) is lower, and that the risk of a pregnancy ending after 8 successful weeks (especially if you've heard a Hb) is 5% or maybe even less.
