I have a dear friend expecting her first. Her husband will hopefully be her support during birth but he is in the military and due to be overseas the month just prior to her due date. So if she goes full term he will be home but if she goes early he might not be.

She is hopeing for a natural hospital birth. Other than all the reading I have been doing about birth for myself. We are TTC #1 at the moment. I was wondering if there was a good book I could read that would help me get an idea of how to help a laboring woman as I have no first hand expirence to draw on. She hasen't asked me but I want to be prepared just in case.

Any advice any of the mom's on here could give me would be wonderful as I know if I'm there it would be because he is not so she would already be upset. Thanks

Didn't want to read and run but unfortunately I've got no idea. Perhaps going to a large book store and browsing through their pregnancy section could help you find something you're happy with? Good luck ttc.

Penny Simkin's The Birth Partner. It's a must read for you x
