Swim Nappy

Hi there,

What do your LOs swim in? Any recommendations?

Do you know when you can take baby for their first swim? I'm not comfortable taking him on my own (I'm not very good in water), but hope to go with my DH one weekend.

You can take them anytime, you don't need to wait until they've had jabs or whatever. I just use a pocket nappy without an insert for her to swim in.

in our local pool the baby needs to wear 2 nappies and one has to be disposible (don't ask why because I'm sure they could leak as much as a reusable one but anyway...) I use a disposable underneath and then either the splashabout happy nappy or one that I got from mothercare over the top.

You can take them swimming from birth but make sure that the pool is warm enough and don't stay too long if its not. The first time I took Dyl he was only 4 week old so I went to a pool with a mulit-sex changing room so that OH could help out getting him dry and changed etc which made it a bit easier.
