Anyone else's feet swelling? Is it to early for mine to be swollen? I tried to wear a pair of flip flops to the store but had to take them off because they were to tight on the top. My feet are also cramping all the time. I'll be 21 weeks Friday is this normal?

My ankles felt swollen last week-ish. Do you eat a lot of salty things? You could be retaining water from salt.

No not really. I mean I cook with salt. I guess I need to watch it. Food sucks without salt though lol

I would mention it to my dr/midwife. My mother has lots of trouble with water retention.

My doctor always tells me to drink 2 liters of water so that my hands and feet don't swell. My friends feet have been swollen throughout her pregnancy.

My feet were swelling in second tri - stupidly it was just one foot & still is. It eased off at one point but defo have one more foot more swollen/obvious than the other.

Can't fit into any of my shoes JOY!

Ditto! It's my left foot that is swollen. Both hurt, but the left is more swollen then the right

Same as you lol My left foot ...

I have fairly bad varicose veins... especially in the right leg... which is the leg that generally swells the most. I suppose the circulation isn't so great in that leg. I get pretty good edema in that one when I haven't been drinking as I should.

It really helps a lot when I have drank my 2 liters of water a day.

Peeing all the time, but yah know... better than massive ankles I guess.

:loo:

luckily i havent had swelling with 3 of my pregnancies the 1st time was real bad tho they swelled up so bad i couldnt fit into shoes i was advised to sit with feet up and keep wiggling ankles round in circles to help circulation

It does not bother me tha much apart of shoes wise. Don't look fab but hey ho ho sees my feet :D

I just kept off the them for the night and the foot seems to be better :) I guess this is one other fun thing to come that I can look foward to! lol

My feet swelled at 19 weeks and Im having to wear size 7 shoes and im only a size 5.

i am noticing that some shoes are not as comfy as they used to be...hmmmmmph.

Im already a size 10!! If theyt get to big I'll be wearing men shoes lol

lol--- i know it sucks but as long as ur blood pressure stays normal i wouldnt worry about it --- high blood pressure with the swelling= preeclepsia

but for the swelling (i've had it in my legs and my feet since 26-28 weeks) all my ob told me to do about it was to rest on my left side 3 times a day for an hour at a time and to keep my feet up whenever possible ---drink as much water as u can possibly drink (its supposed to trick ur body into believeing that theres so much water around that theres no reason to hold on to it) dont stand or sit for long periods of time--and basically to tough it out--- its one of those miseries of being pregnant---

so far i've incresed my water intake and tried to keep my feet up whenever i'm home===so far the swelling in my feet has basically disappeared ---i can see my ankles again but my legs are still swollen--- its all in my thighs and calves ---course my ob thought it was odd that i have it in my legs and not just my feet like most people--- lol ---i've tried drinking tons of water and all i end up doing is running to the restroom every five min. course i cant keep it up all day so i only do it while i'm at home and then drink water normally when im not home--- it does help with the swelling---but comm'n who wants to like live in the restroom cause of all that water anyway???

dont worry u're perfectly normal ===just drink lots of water and take it easy

Swelling is common in your feet and ankles due to excess water and weight so there is nothing to worry about with that hun, but always show your MW or GP as they should take note of odeama anyway. x
