Ok, ok, Now I am surely not the only pregnant woman who happens to be 5'10... Why oh why can I not seem to find maternity clothes that will fit me? Am I only allowed to be short and pregnant or tall and not pregnant? It seems some shops do a tall range and a maternity range but i cant find anywhere that does Tall Maternity :nope:

I am going to start needing to buy some spring/summer clothes soon and dont think it is worth buying regular non maternity clothes as I wont get my wear out of them and will then have to buy more. Can anyone in the UK help? I would just like to have a bit of choice and not have to pay the earth for an extra inch or two of fabric.

Any ideas would be great x x

hiya
have you tried new look?? i think there jeans are roughly 32"/34" inch leg

:)

Both New Look and Next do their maternity trousers in 'long leg' dont think they do anything else though like tops / dresses etc.

Also next have an online sale on just now too so you might get some trousers in the sale!

Target sells "long and lean" tank tops in their regular women's section, but they also have "long and lean" maternity tank tops in their maternity section. They have been my favorite maternity shirt so far! There are also some nice long stretchy shirts and Motherhood Maternity.

Someone picked me up a pair of jeans from a charity shop that are super long and dont fit me. I can post them to you if you want. they are a uk 10 i think

Next 'long' isn't long enough for me. I found some work trousers in Gap maternity that were long enough though. I'm a 34" leg. I agree that maternity wear and long legs just don't seem to mix- most places a 32" leg is regular- which looks ridiculous.
I have mainly lived in leggings and some of my linen trousers from M&S I can wear now it's warmer- they are standard not maternity but have an elasticated waist- so they work fine.

Try tallgirls.co.uk and long tall sally online, they both do maternity stuff. I am a 34inch inside leg, sometimes I wear 36 inch and some of the stuff from these shops are fine, sometimes it's too long!!!

I got a pair of maternity jeans from next the other day that are 34 inch and there are fine and super comfy. But I am also struggling to find much else!!

I found Asda not.too bad for jeans. not found anywhere good for tops apart from some vests from H and M and I wear those under my normal mat tops. I have just lived in a black pencil skirt for work.

I can wait to shop for normal tall clothes again.

oh and Im a 35" inside leg with monkey arms.

Thank you for all your replies :) I will get on the tall maternity clothes hunt!

You ladies rock!
xx

Oh my goodness - I'm having the same problem!! I'm 6ft with 36" inside leg length :S I've been looking at Long Tall Sally and Tallgirls, however they are just so expensive!! £70 for one pair!! I tried ebay with no luck yet! If any of you have any luck, could you please let me know?? I will continue with my search!! xx

Thanks, and all the best to everyone :) x

They are really expensive iknow!!

I brought a big bundle off ebay of jeans, waiting to see what they are like when they turn up!!!

I am 36 with heels but 34 are fine with the flats i am now banished too - urgh!! It is much much easier to get 34.

xx

I'm 36" with flats :S I don't tend to wear heels!! It's a nightmare at the best of times shopping when you're tall!!

I got through my last pregnancy fastening my jeans with hair bands, and covering up with a bump band, but I was so uncomfortable that I swore I wouldn't do that again!

My daughter is 19 months old, and is also very tall, so I have promised myself I will tell her as much as is possible that she is beautiful, and to be very proud of being tall (as I hated it as a teenager - I stopped growing at 16 when I reached 6ft - thank goodness!!)

hi ladies
just to say i went to my next clearance store and they had Extra long leg jeans in materenity for £3!!!! sadly im only a 30" leg
so it might be worth a try :)

I am 5ft 8. I find maternity trousers/jeans are quite difficult to find, so I have always opted for soft stretch leggings and long tops.

For tops the best ones seem to be H&M, JoJo Mama and Mamas and Papas. I find a few nice soft fabric stretch leggings in H&M and TK Maxx, the can either ride under bump with a bump band, or I have managed to find a couple with large waist bands. Not sure how they will work in the last days, but they seem to have the potential to hold up :)

H&M do seem to do taller ladies clothes, think it's because they are Swedish and cater for taller women!

Good luck

Just wanted to add that there a few Long Tall Sally things on Ebay. I just got a long maternity dress for 99P from JoJo Mama, gotta love ebay!!

It seems unfair that you cant buy a standard range of reasonably priced clothes .. i mean, does it really cost the manufacturer THAT much more to add a few inches?? :growlmad:

I have spent 2 hours this morning online trying to find some trousers for when I am back at work.. I failed!

I think I will have to go hunting around town next week.

Bloomin tall clothing! ha ha

Love to all you lovely tall ladies

I'm 5"10 and pregnant as well!
I'm a seamstress so I always make my own pants,
You may have to visit a seamstress! It's not always that expensive to have custom pieces made.
Or you can buy a regular pant and buy extra fabric and sew on a cuff!

I think most maternity clothes come in 'standard' as - at 5ft3" - I have to take a good few inches off of all trousers I buy!
Have you tried Vertbaudet? They are online but had quite a wide selection of maternity stuff with a choice of length, although I didn't pay attention to how long they were.
Maternity clothes are rubbish, fact!

If you are happy to shop online, try Barefoot Maternity. They have long maternity pants & jeans with inseams up to 40". I can't post the web details as I am new to this forum but if you do a search I am sure you will find the site I am talking about. I have just seen some tall pants on sale and they offer refund on all orders.

i am a 37" inside leg. its a nightmare. there is an ebay seller called mummy long legs who did maternity ranges for tall folk but i got mat jeans from them and although super long they were made of cheap stuff and the inside of the jeans scratched my legs to bits
i have one pair of jeans that fit and wear shorts the rest of the time. i also bought normal boy fit jeans but two sizes bigger so im using them under bump as sort of maternity jeans.

I am 5'7" but was a dancer and am all leg. I love the gap and have already purchased a few things from their maternity section. Keep an eye out for sales on their website and I'm on their email list and get sent coupon codes on a regular basis. All prefers over $50 are also free shipping. I went to our local one and stocked up on clearance as they had some great light sweaters and three quarter sleeve stuff that I can wear in the fall when I really start to pop!
