Tax credits question

Does child tax credit usually go up when you have another child?

Yes ours did by loads, the combined income that you can earn with 2 kids is upto either £32 or £36k I can't remember now

Do I just have to ring them and tell them once baby is born?

Yes thats what I did - I didn't even have to send birth cert or anything, and they didn't check it against my child benefit as I hadn't changed that at the time.

It does.

It went from £40 a month for River too £60 a WEEK when Willow was born.

Makes no sense

I dont know if ours will or not, I cant find out online as we get the disibilty rate not the standard rate. x

Ours increased by £157 every 4 weeks! I actully rang them to make sure they hadn't made a mistake!!!
