I had my tax credits backdated last week, i got £283 backdated from the 8th june which is when they recieved my claim, i then got my £62.something on the thursday and continue to get that every thursday..

I spoke to them on the phone and told them i wanted it backdated from her birth date ( 28/04/09 ), so they told me theyd put it on the system and that would be with me in about 5 weeks..

I had a letter through from them this morning, most of it a load of rubbish but its got a page with how much theyowe me.

It says...
Amound to be paid: £2757.26
Payments already made by us: £0.00
Amount due to you: £2757.26

Does this mean they are paying me £2757.26? :/... no way do they owe me that much.. i had just under £300 backdated last week, they owe me another say 5 weeks worth before that.. so say another £300, which they are paying in 5 weeks time.

Im confused?

i dnt know, id give them a ring and ask them how much they owe you and when they are paying it and see if they verify what the letter says

Could that figure be for the total year? Or total year remaining?
