I am *hopefully* starting work part time next week. It's only about 13.5 hours but obviously in going to inform them when I'm due to start.

My question is what if I do overtime? Or get a casual as and when job somewhere else? Do I have to inform them every time I do overtime or extra work?

I usually inform them on the renewal form (of overtime etc) as what you earn this year will effect next years tax credits.
Hope that helps

So you don't have to tell them straight away? Month by month?

Just wait for the renewal?

You have to work 16 hours to get working tax credits so it might not affect too much...? If you have a partner who works more entitling you I would calculate what you think your annual income will be on your 13.5 hours, you don't have to inform them unless your income is going to rise by more than....I'm not too sure but it's in the thousands, so if n you don't have to panic :)
