Teacher Gifts

I try to get something really nice as my son's class only has 6 children but we've had a really difficult few weeks and I just don't feel the Christmas spirit anymore. Might just be a costa gift voucher at this rate :( I also need gifts for his bus driver and escort.

Oh no sorry your feeling a bit down . I hope things turn around for you and you can enjoy Christmas !

Took DD shopping after school and she picked some Cadbury biscuits and three Christmas glasses . Going to fill them with a mini bottle of wine and roses/Hero’s and wrap them in cellophane with a bow . She’s also making baubles and a home made card ! That’s it done! Thanks for the great ideas Im using some for family members stocking fillers lol xx

Sounds lovely. I'm glad you found something :D

Finished Ava's teacher. Wanted to get a nice pen but more pens are better and they're pretty colours!
Candle was only 99p from HomeBargains. They have large Yankee jar size for £2.99 too!

Brillaint gifts ! I might put one of those candles in too thanks ! X

Have been busy making peppermint, lemon, caramel and strawberry creams today, going to put a couple of each into sweet bags and boys have made labels to go onto bags. Not spending loads ds1 has 3 teachers and ds2 7preschool teachers (well 8 but one is me!)

My 9 year olds teacher got some nice teas and biscuits as K said she likes tea. My 12 and 13 year olds will get chocolates or the like. My little boy has 14 members of staff in his room so I have a hamper type thing to take into tomorrow, two boxes of Mince pies, a Yule log, a box of chocolate biscuits three different chocolate avis of chunky cookies, hot chocolates sachets and coffee sachets. Shoved it in a gift box and cellophane it. Cost £13.

I’ve gone into school today to just ‘make sure’ I’d got numbers right. Turns out including assistants there’s EIGHT teachers in his class not three. I need to rethink my gift idea and go buy more today! Shit!

Good idea for the teachers . Maybe you could do this for your DS’s teachers Kirstybum

I’ll defibitely be doing that next year. It’s cost me a small fortune by rushing. Although I haven’t had to spend any more actual cash last minute. I’d already got loccitane gift sets for the three teachers I thought there was, at a bargain price of £6 each instead of £18. So I still gave those three teachers those. I had 2 large Yankee candles that I originally was going to gift to his main teacher, so used those for another 2 teachers and then took Yankee candles out my own stash for the others. If I had actually had to go out and buy those candles at full price though that would’ve been hell of a lot on teacher presents!! I must be more organised next year!

£23 each for the candles and £18 each for the gift sets. Imagine!

Brilliant gifts! Glad you managed to sort it all out in the end ! I’m sure they would have been grateful for anything .

Our gifts went down well too ! X

I sent our gifts in today too. A Krispy Kreme mug with coffee for his teacher and a Reese's pieces mug with chocolate for his TA and a chocolate orange each.

I got a message from one off DD2s teachers saying thank you for the decoration and sent a photo of it on her tree. Lovely to know she liked it.
I know most probably like more extravagant gift but I always try to do something personal from DDs.

Oh wow that’s amazing !

When I emptied DDs school bag . She had a few cards in there one was from a trainee teacher we gave a present too (DD has really taken to her for !) saying how much she loved and appreciated it ! It’s always nice to know a gift was well received

So glad your teacher loved hers! Very thoughtful to let you know
