Teacher gifts

Do you give them? If so, what do you get?

I seem to each year at Christmas and then one at the end of the year. Usually ornaments, etc.

I don't know that we ever gave them at Christmas but my mom would always cut some roses from her rose bush at the end of the school year and put them in a jelly jar for our teachers (we didn't have a lot of money) but they always appreciated it!

Usually I only gave gifts to "special teachers", my ECE/Kindergarten teachers and ones that I really liked after that point. Then in high school ones who I wanted to bump my grade too! hehe.. I usually gave Christmas tree ornaments, little things to put on their desks, etc.

Thinking of just giving a card for Christmas and then a gift at the end of the year. Or maybe at Christmas give a gift and just a card at the end of the year.

Gets to be too much especially because I go for the real unique gifts that they like and hang up or use in their classroom.

I may have our daughter send a card to her teacher. I am not sure though.
