Team Femara!

1st round of Serophene (5mg from days 5-9) got me pregnant but it ended in miscarriage at 5.5 weeks. 2nd round yielded nothing, I don't even think I ovulated.

My region experienced a recall of the Serophene and so my Dr recommended Femara as the next best choice. Heard it was not primarily used for fertility, but for holding breast cancer at bay. The nurse said there were some good success rates behind it.

Ideally it was supposed to be taken from days 3-7. Because of the recall and my doctor's office hours, I took it from days 4-8 which they said should be fine (next month I'm to take it from days 3-7 if this cycle doesn't work).

So far, symptoms appear more than they did with the Serophene. I'm having wicked crazy hot flashes, and some nasty headaches. I take it later in the evening but the side effects are really strong. I hope this means it's working!

I'm currently CD11 and starting to test for ovulation.

I'm curious as to your experiences using Femara:
What dosage were you on?
What days did you take it?
When did you ovulate?
Did you get a BFP?
Side effects?
