I have a bit of a dilemma and am not sure what to do!

I use Dr Browns bottles and Aptamil formula. Jack has been on level 2 teats for a few weeks but has recently started getting tired and doesn't ever seem to drink more than 3oz in one go. I tried level 3 teats and he is generally fine with them but does dribble quite a lot of milk and seems quite agitated after a bottle as if he has a bit of wind. However he does drink more - around 4.5 - 5oz.

What should I do? Just stick with level 3 until he gets used to them? I could do with a level 2.5 to be honest! Lol.

Heya. I think you should stick with the size 3's. Its normal for them to dribble milk when they first start using a faster flow. Maybe try winding him more often during a feed and ss if that helps until he is used to the new teats. xx

Thanks :) I will try winding halfway through and see if that helps.

BTW is level 3 a bit excessive for a 7 week old? I have heard that Dr Brown's tend to be smaller than other brands, but I didn't put Emma onto level 3 until she was 4/5 months!

All babies are different. DD2 went onto size 2's at 5 weeks, but she still uses size 2's now, the size 3's are too fast for her and she has always choked or thrown up each time I tried her with them (we use MAM). Some babies just prefer a faster flow. My friends baby went onto size 2 teats at 3 weeks old, and thats with expressed breast milk, so must come out really fast! xxx
