I've not thought til now but Emma (7 months) is still on size 2 avent teats

I'm not sure whether to buy size 3 (3months +) or 4 (6 months +) - I don't want to give her a shock but need to do something soon....

Thanks

Is she happily taking milk through the size 2 teats? If so I would not bother changing.

But if she is getting frustrated or windy then I'd go to the size 3 ones. Going from 2 to 4 would be a bit of shock for her I would have thought!

Although saying that, we only used the 3s for a month before we had to go to the 4s.

I didn't realise the teet sizes had recommended ages for them either, opps! Joe is still using size 2 Avent ones and seems to be fine. As mum2b said, if he's happy then I'd stick with the ones you're using.
I might invest in some of the next size up though, just incase.

That's a good idea actually. Ruby suddenly refused size 2s one day, I couldn't work out what was going on so I tried 3s and she took it fine again.

When did you go from size 3 to size 4 mum2b?

Thanks to you both. I've got some size 3s today so will try those tomorrow - I'd say it's 50/50...sometimes she takes her milk fine, but others she'll be fussing like mad - could be another reason (or 10!) as to why she does this but at least if I try the next size up I know it's not that if it doesn't stop. It's not a major issue at all just if I hadn't got them I'd be wondering whether that's why she was fussing.

I was thinking of going onto the variflow teats as then I'd never have to change them. Anyone used these?
