Tell us about what you do....

I am currently training to be a Dental Nurse and I love it!

I am a qualified Beauty Therapist and Nail Technician but I hated working Saturdays and the industry is far too bitchy for my liking!

I work in customer services for RBS, used to absolutely love it but with all thats gone on and been on the news lately I'm on the look out for something else...what that something else is, I've no idea!

I'm at college doing biology, chemistry, psychology and english literature for my AS-Levels. I'm hoping to do either medicine or psychology at uni to be a paediatrician or an educational psychologist
Good thread! - it's really interesting seeing what everyone's jobs are
xx

I am a stud manager specialising in artificially inseminating mares, we have 10 resident stallions and take in others during the stud season. It is a very challenging but very rewarding when all the foals are born.

My DH is a professional sound engineer having toured and done large concerts he now works with schools doing work shops and teaching music technology and media

i'm currently a stay at home mum, best job i've ever had and don't plan on returning to work if i'm honest :) before mads i was a sociology teacher. my DF works for his fathers company selling alloy wheels and tyres! yawn, not exciting but pays the bills

I'm in college studying childcare. I'm hoping to be a nursery nurse or maybe a nanny. But i'm leaning more towards nursery nurse

Great thread :D

I'm currently a Checkout Operator at Morrisons Supermarket... Pretty dull and mundane but it's just until I head off to Uni in September to do Adult Nursing

DF is a Rolls-Royce Aerospace Apprentice (something to do with planes  lmao!) Very good career ahead of him

I am a teacher and I coach Junior High girls volleyball, basketball and Track. I love it!

Im studying my second year of business administration in college.

Ive done so many different courses and im still no closer to finding what i want to do  So far ive done 1 year of beauty therapy, one year of childcare and then last year executive office skills :D

i'm starting my NVQ in horse care, been there a while but have only just been signed up :) absolutely love it!

I'm in customer services/technical advice for a kitchen worktop manufacturer! *YAWN*

I work in a popular high street phone shop (the one with the annoying ads!) as a sales consultant. I do love my job but the pressure to sell is too much for me as I prefer the customer service side of it as opposed to the selling. I love gadgets as well! Not sure what I want to do, I studied media production at college but when I met OH I dropped out because I was barely going anyways and we wanted to live together so needed money.

I'd love to study either classical studies/ancient history or english but not sure what I would do with those degrees...

OH is an optical adviser and is brilliant at it, he wants to train to be a dispensing optician but I think he is capable of more and should be a fully fledged doctor, just the training puts him off the idea. I could really see him as a neo-natal doctor or something similar to that.

I always thought by the time I was 21 (nearly!) I would know what I wanted to do with my life and be on the way to doing it! The only thing I've done is a little bit of modelling (a lifelong dream of mine!) and I didn't even get paid for it :(

Oh well, I'm sure we'll all find something we are good at eventually!

xxx

I know how you feel Jillypoop, I didn't bother trying at college so failed my exams, and now I work in retail but have no idea what my dream job would be :( I always assumed I'd have settled in to something by now, and I'm also nearly 21 :( As you say, got our whole lives to think of something! :) xx

Currently working at Subway as a team leader, not at all what I want to do. Literally only job I could get, even after Uni! Want to train to be an RE teacher next September :)

I am a nurse practitioner in a doctors surgery and my husband is a practice manager in another surgery.

I really enjoy my job seeing lots of different minor illness and medical conditions.
