Hello! I just had a one-hour Thai herbal compress treatment, which applies a hot compress full of herbs directly to the body including the back and the arms. I didn't think anything of it then, but afterwards my milk turned slightly green in tinge but I gave it to my baby anyway, and she started fussing afterwards. She sometimes fusses so again I didn't think anything of it. But now I've just gone online and some practicioners say that this isn't recommended for breastfeeding. Do you think a one-time treatment is safe? I'm really worried.

Can you ring the therapist?? I have no idea but if it's turning your milk green I would guess it passing through pretty easily....:?

My milk was slightly greenish in tinge right after, but it's back to normal in color now. I'm just worried about any side effects on the baby.

I'm also just wondering if anyone out there has had such a treatment or a massage using oils not recommended for lactating mothers, and their babies turned out all right.

I'd still ring the therapist. You might need to pump and dump.
