The Baby Names Thread

im not telling my name lmfao

there is a reason for this....

i chose my eldests name many many moons ago, i had it in my head from being in school, when i have a baby, it will be a girl, she will be called bethany, she will have blonde hair and blue eyes, always had that in my head, so i get preggers years later and i told people what she would be named etc
then corrie nicked my name and sarah-lou named her baby it (one month before mine was born and it dont help that im called sarah too lol)

then on my second we had shannon picked, my then oh went out saying about how much he loved the name, his best mate nicked it and named it his daughter who was born a week before ours. we gave ours shannon as a second name because we liked it so she became nicole shannon

on this one i had lucas picked for a boy, from more or less finding out i was pregnant, then bloody hollyoaks nick it for Amys baby im not having a boy but still bugged me lol

so im keeping my girlie name quiet

I havent told a couple of people i no who are pregnant before me incaser they still my name for my one either, i soscared of this happening!! xxx

lol, i am too as i know a few people in my area who are pregnant! I would be so annoyed if someone stoal my name! xx

Great thread! its so hard choosing names and its good to share with people on here as we all stay miles away from each other etc, so its okay if we chose the same ones. xx im convinced im having a girl so dont have many boys names!! think ill be shocked if i go for gender scan and see a lil winkie!!

Just thought i'd resurrect this thead as there seems to be a lot of people in 2nd trimester asking for advice on names at the mo so thought it might be helpful!

Like a few other ladies on here- i am keeping our final shortlist absolutely TOP SECRET! Partly because i don't want anyone stealing any of the names we love (i have a little sister who is pregnant as well and i wouldn't put it past her!) but also just because i don't want anyone to say anything awful about any of the names and/or try to put me off them.

However in the interests of helping others i am going to type out our original list from when we first started to *think* about baby names, so if anyone is stuck for ideas, here are a few i like:

we are having Zander Lucas! but if we had been having a girl the name was going to be Lillyan Cadence
other names we were throwing around were:
James (DH family name and he has cousins with this name so he decided against it)
Jeremiah (DH name is Jeremy so we thought it was too close to his name)
Isaac (DH wanted this name but Im not a fan of it for some reason)
we picked Zander after my Daddy...his name is Zandal and I thought it was so unique!
but we had picked Lucas from the beginning and that is what he was to be called but we still arent sure if we are calling him Zander or Lucas I love both equally so I guess we will see what we think he looks like and decide then!
we didnt have any other girl names that was all we came up with but I kinda felt like it was a boy so I didnt worry so much about picking girl names!

For a boy it will be Aaden Eric Ray Bell ( eric after my grandad and ray after my dad)
For a girl we can decide between Seren Mae Bell (seren is welsh for star)
